Purpose of the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Manager with extensive experience in global ISO 9001 and 14001 standards.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of quality management systems and environmental management systems, ensuring that our operations adhere to these international benchmarks for efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • ISO Compliance & Certification: Oversee and manage the company’s compliance with ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001 standards. Maintain and update compliance document libraries.

  • Auditing & Assessment: Conduct internal audits, supplier audits, and third-party audit preparations to ensure adherence to global compliance frameworks.

  • Policy & Procedure Development: Develop, implement, and update policies, procedures, and best practices in line with ISO standards.

  • Training & Awareness: Train and educate employees on compliance requirements, ISO standards, and best practices.

  • Regulatory Compliance: Stay updated on changes in UK and global regulations affecting compliance and quality management.

  • Risk Management: Identify risks and implement corrective and preventive actions to mitigate compliance issues.

  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance business processes and maintain compliance with global standards.

  • Data requests: Work closely with internal teams on the preparation and completion of PQQs, competency and ESG platforms, ensuring accurate information and on time delivery.

  • Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with internal teams, external auditors, and regulatory bodies to ensure smooth compliance operations.

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes - Essential:

  • Proven experience as a Compliance Manager, ISO Lead Auditor, or similar role in a global organisation.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001 standards and auditing processes.
  • Certified Lead Auditor qualification in one or more of the above ISO standards is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of UK and international regulatory requirements related to quality, environmental, and occupational health & safety management.
  • Experience conducting internal and external audits with a focus on compliance and process improvement.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to analyse data, assess risk, and implement effective compliance strategies.
  • Strong attention to detail with a proactive and hands-on approach.
